The Bible Quilt from Humble Quilts

Hey! I finally have a finish for 2026!

This quilt was started by Juliann Phillips and she donated the patterns and the blocks she had completed  and prepped when I was looking for donations for Faith Seeds International.

A local women did the quilting. It is lovely!
Designed by Jan Patek.

You will have a chance to win this quilt plus 3 others that we will be using to raise money for Faith Seeds International. Of course I'll be advertising!!

Have a lovely week!

Quilt Tops finished! from Humble Quilts

I was able to get the tree top trimmed and the small border attached. I'm pretty happy with it and I hope the quilting goes well! I'll get the backing made soon.

The Bible quilt top is complete too! I plan on quilting this one myself- very simply since it is applique and wool.

I'm thrilled with both tops!

Happy February!

Bible Quilt #2 from Humble Quilts

I’ve got my summit stitches ready to quilt, but I turned my attention to the Bible Quilt that was taking up space in my sewing room. Juliann donated this UFO to Faith Seeds and I'm getting it ready to sew at our annual quilt retreat in January. It’s been a fun one to revisit.

I've made this before and smile seeing it at my niece's home. My previous one can be seen HERE

A quilt shop I stopped at this past week while in Arizona. This is in Camp Verde.

I've been MIA

I had a lovely week ...

The Bible Quilt, 1718 Coverlet and My Di Ford Mystery Quilt from Tattered Garden

Long time no see.  Well, I blame Facebook.  So many people have left blogger and moved to Facebook because they say it’s an easier format to use.
I think some things about Facebook are easier, like posting photos but to me it doesn’t feel as personal a blog.
I may not have been blogging but I have been busy stitching.

I finally got all the words stitched on my Bible Quilt
 and the  blocks put together.
This is my version of Jan Patek’s pattern.

Harriet Powers made the original quilt which is in the Museum of American ...
